This Privacy Policy explains how Beyond Members (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Beyond Members mobile app and related services.
Information we collect
- • Account & profile information — such as your name, title, country, bio, profile photo, and email address that you provide.
- • Social handles — if you choose to add them, your Instagram and WhatsApp contacts, which you can opt to make visible to other members.
- • Photos — images you select from your device's photo library to use as your profile picture or to send in chats.
- • Precise location — only if you grant location permission and enable location sharing. When enabled, we capture your device's GPS coordinates to show your approximate city and to display your location to other members on the in-app map. You can disable this at any time in your profile settings.
- • Usage data — how you interact with the app, for the purpose of operating and improving the service.
- • Device & push tokens — to deliver notifications you have opted into.
How we use your information
- • To provide and maintain your membership and the app's features.
- • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- • To send notifications and communications you have enabled.
- • To respond to support requests and improve the service.
Sharing with other members
Beyond Members is a community app. Profile information you choose to make visible — such as your name, photo, bio, city, and (if you enable them) your social handles and map location — is shown to other members of the community. You control what is shared through your profile settings.
Service providers
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the app — for example, our hosting and database infrastructure provider, and a push-notification delivery service (Expo) used to send the notifications you have opted into — and only as needed to deliver the service or as required by law.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
